Corflute Toblerone Signs: Sizes, Setup and How They Differ From Bollard Signs
Corflute Signage Guide · 3 min read
Focus Banners prints corflute toblerone signs, lightweight self-supporting triangular boards that stand on their own with nothing to fix them to, ready to line a walkway or mark out an area at an indoor or outdoor event.
What is a corflute toblerone sign?
A toblerone sign is a triangular, self-supporting corflute display, assembled into its prism shape with velcro and printed on two faces so it reads from both directions.
The name comes from the shape, a long triangular prism. Because it stands on its own, it does not need a frame or a wall behind it, which is what makes it useful as a freestanding marker rather than just a flat sign. The corflute itself is lightweight and hard wearing, with inks built to hold up outdoors as well as in.
What sizes do toblerone signs come in?
Toblerone signs come in three sizes: Small at 1200 x 650mm face, Medium at 1800 x 400mm face, and Large at 2400 x 400mm face. The first figure is the length of the run and the second is the height of the printed face, so Small is the shortest of the three but has the tallest face, while Medium and Large share the same face height and differ only in length.
| Size | Run length | Face height |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 1200mm | 650mm |
| Medium | 1800mm | 400mm |
| Large | 2400mm | 400mm |
They can be placed edge to edge with no visible break to build a longer run, so a row of toblerones can form a continuous line as long as the space needs, rather than being limited to one sign’s width. Custom sizes beyond these three may be possible for non-standard runs, worth confirming when you request a quote.

How are toblerone signs different from bollard signs?
Toblerone and bollard signs are close to the same product, just used two different ways. A toblerone sign is made from 5mm corflute for extra rigidity and lies or stands on the ground as a freestanding prism. A bollard sign is made from 3mm corflute, thinner, easier to work with and cheaper to ship, and fits over a vertical bollard instead of standing on its own.
If the job is a freestanding line or barrier, toblerone is the right call. If the job is dressing up an existing bollard or post, the thinner 3mm bollard-sign version is the one to ask for.
Where do toblerone signs work best?
Toblerone signs are common at sporting grounds, retail spaces and brand activations, indoors or out, anywhere a walkway edge or visual divider doubles as advertising space. They’re especially useful for sideline advertising at outdoor sporting events, where a long, low-profile run reads clearly from the stands without blocking sightlines.
Because they are self-supporting, they also work well as a visual divider between two areas at an event, marking where the public should and should not walk while carrying a full-colour printed message. They mark a boundary visually. They are not a physical crowd barrier, so anywhere real crowd control is needed, use them alongside proper barrier fencing, not instead of it.
How are toblerone signs set up and stored?
Setup is velcro assembly into the triangular prism shape, then anchoring with sandbags or tent pegs depending on the surface. No frame is needed, and the only tool involved is whatever drives a tent peg into the ground.
For storage and transport, the signs pack flat once the velcro is released, which keeps a full run of them compact between events rather than needing to store assembled prisms.
Frequently Asked Questions
5mm corflute, assembled into a self-supporting triangular prism with velcro.
Nearly. Toblerones are 5mm corflute for a freestanding prism; bollard signs are 3mm corflute, thinner and made to wrap around an existing bollard rather than stand alone. Ask for the bollard-sign version when you request a quote.
Yes. They are designed to sit edge to edge with no visible break, so several can be lined up to cover a longer stretch than one sign alone.
With sandbags or tent pegs, depending on the ground they are placed on.
