High Pressure Inflatable Arches
Airtight inflatable arches, also called sealed-air or high-pressure arches, are inflated once at the start of your event and hold firm for days. There is no blower, no power supply and no noise, so they suit venues without a power point, noise-sensitive events and multi-day activations.
We make airtight arches in two materials. PVC tarpaulin is the robust, hard-wearing option, with a direct full-colour print or velcro banners so you can swap sponsor logos and START or FINISH messaging between events. TPU is better when your design changes entirely. I has a thermoplastic bladder covered with an interchangeable polyester skin, so you buy one frame and replace the skin for each event.
Both materials inflate and deflate easily, stand up to repeated use, and can be repaired if punctured. We make airtight arches in a range of shapes and sizes, so contact us about what your event needs.

TPU
PVC or TPU: Which Airtight Arch Suits You?
Not all airtight arches are built the same way, and the material yours is made from shapes how long it lasts, how easily it travels, how the branding holds up in the sun, and whether the whole structure needs replacing when you want a new look.
We build airtight arches in two construction types: PVC tarpaulin, and a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) frame with an interchangeable polyester skin. Both use sealed-air technology, so you inflate the arch once and it holds firm for days with no blower, no power lead and no fan noise. The difference is what each material does on-site, and how its branding system works.
PVC tarpaulin is the proven, heavier-duty option: a tough, dense fabric that wears well under repeat use and keeps the entry cost lower. TPU is a lighter, more advanced polymer that stays flexible in the cold, handles UV better over time, and forms the frame of a modular system where the printed outer skin is fully replaceable, so a rebrand means a new skin, not a new arch. Which one suits you comes down to how often you move the arch, how frequently your branding changes, and the conditions you run in.
PVC Tarpaulin Arches
-
MATERIAL
Heavy-duty PVC tarpaulin (approx. 750gsm on a 1000D polyester base) — built for sustained outdoor use and repeat handling -
BRANDING
Full-colour print directly onto the arch for a seamless finish; velcro banner system also available for multi-event branding changes -
CONSTRUCTION
Stiffer material that holds shape firmly under high inflation pressure -
REPAIRABILITY
Simple on-site repairs with PVC repair tape — most minor damage fixable without specialist tools -
WEIGHT & PACK
Heavier build with a larger pack size; expect higher freight weight compared to TPU equivalent -
PRICE
More cost-effective entry point — lower upfront investment -
BEST FOR
Events where weight isn’t a constraint, permanent direct-printed branding, or rough-handling environments
TPU Inflatable Arches
-
WEIGHT
TPU frame is 30–50% lighter than a comparable PVC arch — easier to pack, self-transport, and freight
g -
BRANDING
Swapable polyester skins let you reuse the frame for different events or branding.
g -
COLD WEATHER
Maintains flexibility in low temperatures where PVC can stiffen -
PRESSURE RETENTION
Holds firm pressure for days with almost no air loss.
. -
PRINT QUALITY
Premium polyester prints sharp and stays tightly tensioned, for a clean finish. -
PRICE
Higher upfront costs are offset by reusable components. -
BEST FOR
Organisations running multiple events per year, changing branding across seasons, or where portability is a priority
What Makes a Sealed-Air Arch Different?
- Held down with guide ropes.
- Packs into a bag for easy transport and storage.
- High-quality, vivid artwork reproduction.
- Branding is easily changed: swap the velcro banners or replace the skin.
- Reusable many times over, with artwork you can change between events.
- Air is pumped in once and sealed, so the arch stays firm for days with no blower, no power and no noise.
- Choose PVC tarpaulin (robust, direct-printed or fitted with velcro banners) or TPU with an interchangeable polyester skin.
How to Install
01
UNPACK & POSITION
Unfurl the arch in its final position and locate the zippers on each side.
02
ADD BALLAST
Open the side zippers and insert a sandbag into each leg for a stable base.
03
CONNECT THE PUMP
Find the inlet valve, connect the supplied pump, and switch it on.
04
INFLATE FIRM
Fill until the arch is rock-hard. Once full, air releases through the overfill valve.
05
SEAL IT
Switch off the pump and close the inlet valve securely. The arch stays firm for days, no power needed.
06
ANCHOR DOWN
Secure the arch with ropes and weights as ballast before the event begins.
When it comes to weighting
an arch, too much is never enough.

FAQs
An inflatable arch is a large, eye-catching, custom-branded structure used at fun runs, marathons, triathlons, festivals, council events, store openings, and promotional activations. Inflatable arches are available in various shapes, sizes, and colours and can be printed with full-colour branding, event names, and sponsor logos. They are one of the most effective ways to create a start/finish line or a high-visibility entry point at events across Australia.
A Sealed Air arch contains a high-pressure TPU bladder that holds air tightly once the valve is sealed. Similar to a high-quality inflatable raft, it maintains its rigidity for days without needing an external air supply.
Only during setup. A sealed-air (airtight) arch needs power just to inflate it once. After the valve is sealed, it holds firm for days with no blower, no power and no noise.
